Drag racing is where VP started: Warren Johnson, a drag racer, was the company's first paying customer in 1975, and Bob Glidden's results on that first blend, C12, are the reason VP was still around to build anything else. Fifty years of the same cycle — fuel and engine development pushing each other forward, the way it ran with Reher-Morrison from day one — is why this is the discipline VP's range is deepest in, and the one where cylinder pressure gets nowhere near a road car's. The blends here run from a 112 leaded up to nitromethane.
