EVERY VP RACING FUEL STARTED WITH A PROBLEM.

VP Racing exists because racers needed something that didn't exist. You smell it before you see anything. Walk into a paddock on a Saturday morning and it arrives before the noise does. For racers, that smell has become part of the experience. For us, it's a reminder of why we started. Fifty years ago, a handful of people in San Antonio, Texas, began blending fuel for racers who had exhausted every other option. The pump couldn't deliver what they needed, and the major refiners weren't interested in solving problems that existed for only a few thousand engines. That mindset still drives us today. We don't begin with fuel. We begin with a challenge: more power, greater consistency, improved protection, or performance under conditions where standard fuels fall short. Every VP Racing blend exists because someone needed a solution that wasn't already on the shelf.

01 - The Company

A LONG-TERM COMMITMENT NEEDS A LOCAL PRESENCE.

VP Racing Fuels acquired Pro Energy Fuel Limited in July of 2026, a leading European supplier of aviation gasoline, racing fuels, oils, and related products, and established its European headquarters in Sligo. The distinction that matters is ownership. The acquisition creates a permanent presence, with local teams, inventory, infrastructure, and long-term investment. Today, products are supplied from within Europe through a VP Racing-owned operation, connecting customers directly to the people, products, and technical expertise behind 50 years of World Leading Fuel Technology®

Years of Development. Decades of Performance.

Before a fuel earns the VP name, it must earn trust. Every blend is subjected to rigorous development and validation to verify that its performance can be repeated lap after lap, race after race.
The Complaint
Every fuel starts with a challenge: power loss, changing regulations, or performance limits that existing fuels can't solve. Before a fuel can be developed, the issue must be fully understood.
The Constraint
Not every solution is possible. Sanctioning body regulations, fuel specifications, and technical requirements define the boundaries. Lead content, oxygen levels, specific gravity, and other critical parameters must all fall within the limits competitors are required to meet.
The Formula
With the challenge defined and the rules established, development begins. Components are selected and blended in small batches while key performance characteristics, including octane, vapor pressure, and distillation properties, are measured, analyzed, and refined. Assumptions are replaced with data.
The Dyno
A fuel must prove itself before it earns a place on the track. Back-to-back dyno testing compares each new formulation against existing alternatives, measuring power, consistency, drivability, and durability. If it does not deliver a measurable advantage, development continues.
The season
Prototype fuels are placed in the hands of real teams and tested throughout an entire season, across changing weather conditions, tracks, and demands. Consistent performance over time is what turns a promising blend into a product.
The drum
Only after extensive testing does a fuel move into production. Every batch is blended, tested, and verified to ensure the same performance that proved itself in development reaches every customer. The ultimate measure of a racing fuel is how consistently it performs from one drum to the next.
